London Senior Cup Quarter Final Tie—Tuesday 19 February 2008

Report by Martin Hodson.

Toot,Toot! The Cray express comes of the rails!

A much changed Cray team held their own in the first half of this London Senior Cup tie but were out played in the second half. In the first minute Jack Bradshaw in the Cray goal had to leap high and backwards to tip a shot onto the bar. Tommy Whitnell then had a couple of shots that went close to opening the scoring before Tooting took the lead on 13 minutes with a shot through a group of players.

Bradshaw made another fine save on 18 mins. Despite Tooting having a number of corners Cray had the better chances and, right on half time, George Fenwick had a header which shaved the outside of the post from a corner.

With the half time whistle being blown this is really the end of the report and the competition as Cray never got going in the second half. Tooting scored again in the 54th, 63rd and 90th minutes, with Cray’s only shot coming in the 85th minute.
