After a slow start, in which the two Corinthian forwards looked lively, Cray started to get into the game when
Ross Lover shot wide on 10minutes.
After some half chances by both sides Cray went into the lead on 21 minutes when Fenwick crossed and
was met by Aaron Day to score. Cray soon doubled the score on 26 minutes, after George Fenwick was
put through, and he kept his cool to shoot past the advancing keeper.
This lead was almost increased in the 30th minute when Ross Lover shot over. However, right on the
stroke of half time, Glen Knight had to be at his best on two occasions when twice he was faced with a
one on one situation but came out on top on both occasions.
Apart from a smart save by Knight at his near post, the second half was mainly one way traffic
and it was no surprise that Lewis Wood added another goal on 57 minutes, and then Tommy
Whitnell on 65minutes (25 seconds after coming on as substitute, and with his first touch of the ball)
making it 4-0.
The scoring was completed in the 80th minute by Jamie Wood when he gained the ball
after a mistake by the Casuals defence to fire in goal number five.
Overall this was a good result achieved by Cray, with the Management team ensuring that the
players were not too Casual with their performance.
